As a Community Health Ambassador, you'll play an important role in connecting people with our free Health Consultations, helping more adults discover the support and guidance available to them before health problems become bigger challenges.

About the Role
As a Community Health Ambassador, you will be the friendly face of Get In Good Nick, visiting neighbourhoods across London to engage with local residents.
Working as part of a supportive team, you'll typically work in pairs while out in the community, speaking with members of the public, providing information about healthy ageing and wellbeing, distributing leaflets, and encouraging eligible individuals to book a free health consultation to find out more.
Much of your work will involve engaging with adults aged 50+, particularly women, about healthy ageing, preventative health and the benefits of taking proactive steps to improve their wellbeing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, is confident starting conversations, and wants to make a genuine difference in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit residential areas across London as part of a small outreach team.
- Work alongside colleagues to engage residents in friendly, respectful conversations about their health and wellbeing.
- Distribute information about our free health consultations.
- Explain the benefits of preventative healthcare and healthy ageing.
- Encourage eligible residents to register for a free health consultation.
- Accurately record registrations and daily activity.
- Represent Get In Good Nick professionally and positively at all times.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with new people.
- Passionate about healthy ageing and improving community health.
- A great communicator with excellent listening skills.
- Self-motivated and enjoys working outdoors.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable walking around local neighbourhoods throughout the day.
- Positive, resilient and enthusiastic.
- Motivated by helping people and achieving team goals.
Desirable Experience
While not essential, experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Community engagement or outreach.
- Customer service.
- Healthcare or wellbeing.
- Charity or voluntary work.
- Health promotion.
- Events or public engagement.
Knowledge or understanding of healthy ageing and the health concerns experienced by adults in midlife and later life would be beneficial, along with the ability to build rapport with adults aged 50+.
