Main purpose of job
Under the supervision of fee earners, to assist with the handling of conveyancing matters, residential purchases, sales, and re-mortgages. To carry out administrative tasks, to advise and assist clients or other members of the firm, always acting in accordance with proper professional standards, and observing the Professional Rules of the Solicitors Regulatory Authority.
Key tasks
1. Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision. In particular:
· file creation;
· generation of relevant client care correspondence;
· completion of client questionnaires;
· attendance at routine directions/interlocutory hearings.
2. To participate fully in the use of all case-management system/s, and to observe and apply fully any file management procedures in operation within the firm;
3. To ensure the timely and accurate billing of matters;
4. To participate in supervision/appraisals in respect of your workload, performance and personal development;
5. Deal with routine client enquiries and communications (where possible).
6. Assist with the review of all matter start and matter completion data;
7. Manage the input and update of matter key dates and reminders;
8. To effectively and efficiently carry out such administrative tasks as shall be reasonably requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager;
9. To provide such advice, supervision and training to all staff as shall be reasonably required by the Partners or the Practice Manager
Compliance
To comply with relevant professional obligations so far as they relate to the role including those required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority.
To comply at all times with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
Candidate Profile
NOTE: You MUST have between 3–5+ years in residential conveyancing and be comfortable supporting one or more fee earners to be considered for this role. In addition, you should be:
- Confident chasing estate agents, brokers and solicitors.
- Excellent client communication skills.
- Capable of working with minimum supervision, but within a small team.
You must also be committed to the aims and values of the firm and possess a range of personal qualities/skills, which include;

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
