Creative Gardens & Driveways is looking for an exceptional Senior Landscape Designer & Consultant to help drive the next stage of our growth.
For more than 25 years, we've been designing and building some of Cheshire's finest private gardens, with projects ranging from £30,000 to over £500,000. Our reputation has been built on exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding customer service and award-winning gardens.
We're looking for an experienced landscaping professional who can produce outstanding landscape designs, prepare accurate estimates, confidently secure new projects and help showcase our work through high-quality social media content.
This is not a role for someone learning the industry. We're looking for someone who has spent their career in landscaping and wants to become one of the trusted faces of our business.
About the Role
This is a client-facing position where you'll manage projects from the initial enquiry through to signed contract.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Director, you'll help clients transform their ideas into exceptional outdoor spaces while ensuring every project is commercially successful, beautifully designed and professionally delivered.
This is a varied role combining landscape design, estimating, sales, client relationship management and content creation.
Your Responsibilities
- Meet prospective clients in their homes to understand their vision, lifestyle and budget.
- Produce creative landscape designs that inspire clients and can be delivered efficiently by our construction teams.
- Prepare presentation drawings, mood boards and planting concepts where appropriate.
- Produce or oversee detailed working drawings and construction specifications.
- Prepare accurate landscape estimates, quotations and specifications.
- Advise clients on hard landscaping materials, planting, drainage, lighting, water features and construction methods.
- Build lasting relationships with clients throughout the sales process.
- Present proposals professionally and confidently secure new projects.
- Ensure designs remain commercially viable and deliverable within the client's budget.
- Plan, film and create high-quality videos showcasing completed gardens, projects in progress and behind-the-scenes content for use across our social media channels and website.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to create engaging content that promotes the business and generates new enquiries.
- Liaise closely with our Operations Team to ensure a smooth handover once projects commence.
- Represent Creative Gardens & Driveways with professionalism and integrity at all times.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 20 years' experience working within the landscaping industry, with significant experience in landscape design, landscape estimation, landscape sales and horticulture.
- A proven portfolio of high-quality domestic landscaping projects.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks or similar landscape design software.
- The ability to produce creative landscape designs from initial concept through to construction.
- A thorough understanding of hard landscaping construction methods, drainage, levels and materials.
- Excellent horticultural knowledge and an eye for outstanding planting design.
- The confidence to advise discerning clients and guide them through the design and sales process.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to prepare accurate and profitable quotations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good computer skills and a high level of organisation.
- Confidence filming and producing professional-quality video content for social media using a smartphone or camera.
- An eye for composition, storytelling and showcasing completed gardens to the highest possible standard.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A dedicated home office with sufficient space to work efficiently on a full-time basis.
