Tashi Electrical Ltd is currently looking for Electricians and Electrical Improvers on behalf of our client for ongoing commercial and industrial work in Reading.
The work is mainly containment and first fix electrical installation. This will include installing containment systems, pulling cables, fixing supports, and preparing the installation ready for second fix and testing stages.
We are looking for reliable people with good site experience who can work safely, follow instructions, and work well as part of a team.
Main Duties
- Installing containment systems
- Tray, basket, trunking and conduit work
- Measuring, cutting and fixing containment
- Installing brackets, supports and Unistrut
- Pulling and dressing cables
- FP cable installation
- Fire alarm cabling and installation
- First fix electrical installation
- Fixing back boxes and containment drops
- Working from drawings where required
- Keeping the work area clean and safe
- Following site health and safety rules
Requirements
Electricians:
- Valid ECS/JIB card preferred
- IPAF preferred
- Experience with containment and first fix works
- Able to work from drawings
- Fire alarm experience is a bonus
- Own tools and PPE required
- Must be reliable and able to work independently when needed
Electrical Improvers:
- ECS/CSCS card preferred
- IPAF preferred
- Previous site experience required
- Able to assist with containment, cabling, fixing and first fix works
- Must have PPE
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
