Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery products, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
- Oversee daily food production tasks to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods to the retail or dining area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor ingredient quality and manage inventory levels to minimize waste while ensuring product consistency
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing baked items
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on baking techniques, food preparation, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen environments
- Hands-on experience with cooking, food preparation, and baking techniques
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or flexible hours as needed to meet production demands
- Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant or bakery is highly desirable
