About the Role
D Horne Services Ltd is expanding and continuing to build a strong, professional team across our operations. We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our growing fleet based at Pinmore. You’ll support aggregates, muck‑shift, civils and site‑support work across South West Scotland, operating modern vehicles within a positive, hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe, compliant operation of a Class 2 tipper
- Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Loading, transporting and tipping materials across various sites
- Following site rules, RAMS and industry safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, professional vehicle
- Clear communication with office and site teams
- Representing DHS with a positive, professional attitude
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous tipper or similar HGV driving experience
- Strong safety awareness and load‑security knowledge
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Desirable
- Valid MP Connect Card (training can be provided if required)
- Quarry, windfarm or civils site experience
- Knowledge of aggregates and material movements
- Ability to work in remote or challenging environments

Based at Pinmore, Girvan (KA26 0HX). Due to rural location, own transport is required.
