An opportunity has become available for a Class 1 Low Loader Driver
Hours of Work: 6.30am to 5pm Monday - Friday
The Role
- Transportation of various plant machinery to sites
- Candidate must be capable of Loading and Unloading plant machinery from the Step Frame trailer. This includes dozers, excavators and dumpers.
- Follow delivery routes and ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Making sure deadlines are met
- Adhering to all traffic laws, regulations and company policies while on the road
- Ensure your vehicle is kept in a good, clean condition
- Comply with all health, safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures
- Must be able to work on his or her own initiative, working within a team when required
- Occasional Class 2 Tipper Work to cover for Holiday and Sick
Requirements
- HGV CE Class 1 - minimum 2 years
- Minimum 1 year Low Loader experience
- Full HGV CE licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements
- Digital Tacho and Drivers Qualification Cards
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- A good understanding of Drivers hours, regulations, and Working time directive
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Customer focussed attitude
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Eligible to work in the UK
Rates of pay are competitive and include a bonus scheme, subject to conditions.
