We are seeking a fully qualified butcher to join our dynamic food production team. Duties
De-bonig carcasses: Separating bones from meat cleanly with minimal waste.
Breaking down primals: Dividing large animal carcasses into primal sections.
Trimming and dicing: Removing excess fat, gristle and skin to prepare retail-ready portions.
Artisan processing: Dry-aging specific cuts of meat.
Counter Management & Customer Service
Serving Customers: Greeting customers, weighing orders, wrapping meat and taking payments.
Advising Shoppers: Recommending specific cuts, explaining preparation methods, and giving cooking advise.
Creating visual displays: Arranging cabinet displays attractively to drive sales.
Fulfilling
- Prepare and cut meat products with precision, following established recipes and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery workspace, including equipment sanitation
- Collaborate with colleagues to support overall food production needs and meet quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat supplies and communicate replenishment needs promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Skills
- Proven experience as a fully qualified butcher with comprehensive knowledge of butchery techniques
- Strong background in food production, culinary practices, and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meat cutting equipment operation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

- A major part of our business is the production of breakfast products and cooked meats, we then distribute to convenience stores through our own van-sales team. Our Butcher shop continues to be an important and growing part of our business.

- Working hours
- Monday: 7am -4pm
- Tuesday: 7am-4pm
- Wednesday 7am-4pm
- Thursday 7am -5pm
- Friday 7am-5pm
- Saturday 7am-2pm
- Your working week will be 5 days from the 6 days we are open, with overtime available when required.
- Dinner break 45mins per day.
- Holiday entitlement
- 5 full weeks per year (25 days)
- 2 days holiday at Christmas
- 2 days holiday at New Year
- Total 29 days paid holiday per year.
