Job Overview
Victorian Sliders, the UK’s largest PVCu manufacturer of sliding sash windows, is seeking a Recycling Operator to join our recycling facility. You will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment involved in the processing and recycling of upvc materials. This includes sorting, granulating, colour sorting & pulverizing along with ensuring the quality control of the final product. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and develop. The ideal candidate will be trained up with all the necessary skills to become a skilled operator. You’ll receive full on-the-job training in equipment use and recycling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate recycling machinery such as granulators, density table, colour sorter and pulveriser.
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings to maintain optimal processing conditions.
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Sort and prepare uPVC materials for processing, including removing contaminants.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure processed uPVC meets required specifications
- Ensure work area is clean and adheres to health and safety regulations
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Always follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. health & safety, manual handling, forklift licence if required).
Desirable:
- Forklift licence
- Recycling and warehouse experience
- Knowledge of different types of recyclable materials

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 12am.
Pay: £13.27 per hour plus a £25 per week shift allowance.
