What You'll Be Doing:
As a Trainee Investment Manager, you’ll gradually take on responsibility for supporting and advising on client investment portfolios, always with guidance and oversight as you develop your expertise.
- Client service & relationship building — Provide a professional, inclusive and responsive service to clients, helping to maintain and strengthen long‑term relationships.
- Market learning & awareness — Keep up to date with market developments and industry best practice, using this knowledge to support client outcomes.
- Portfolio reviews — Assist in reviewing client portfolios to ensure investments remain suitable and aligned with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Investment dealing — Support the arrangement and execution of investment transactions in line with client instructions and regulatory requirements.
- Client communication — Help respond to client queries promptly and clearly, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
- Compliance & record‑keeping — Maintain accurate records, uphold compliance standards and contribute to a culture of integrity across the team.
- Team collaboration — Work closely with colleagues, support administrative processes and learn how to delegate and monitor tasks effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Working towards the CISI Level 7 qualification.
- A developing understanding of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Interest in investment processes, financial planning and market trends.
- Willingness to learn our products, services and internal frameworks.
- Awareness of FCA Conduct of Business Rules, Money Laundering Regulations and TCF principles (or a desire to learn).
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A calm, resilient approach, especially when working under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in written work.
- Confidence to contribute ideas, ask questions and challenge constructively as you grow.
