Landscape Team Leader
Due to a retirement, we are looking for a Landscape Team Leader to join our employee owned business.
We are a national award winning company, specialising in private garden design-and-build projects, predominantly in Kent.
Being an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), all employees have a stake and ‘voice’ within the business and after a preliminary period are entitled to share in the profits the business makes on a fair basis. This potentially includes bonuses of up to £3,600 per year tax free.

The role involves 'hands-on' leading a team of typically 2 or 3 persons, undertaking garden construction to a high standard. Projects will range from single feature installations (eg patios, lawns, decks, planting) to whole garden landscaping, working from plans and to best practice specifications.
Pay is based on a 40 hour 'on site' week at between £650 to £700 per week according to experience. Travel time between our yard and site is paid in addition at 50% of the stated wage rate.
The successful applicant will :
*Have experience in a similar role and work setting or be ready to step up to the responsibilities of the position.
* Be over 25 years old to comply with our vehicle insurance policy (driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle will be involved).
* Have a wide range of landscaping skills. Particularly valued skills are laying natural stone and porcelain slabs, small unit paving (bricks, setts and edgings), working with timber (fencing and structures), planting and turfing. Good plant knowledge is a bonus.
*Be able to organise themselves and the team to deliver high quality installations to quality and time targets.
*Communicate with and motivate colleagues, liaise with clients and with the management team.
*Have an aptitude for physical, sometimes strenuous work in the full range of weathers.
