The Role
Sofina Foods is seeking reliable, hardworking Production Operatives to join our fast-paced, collaborative team at our South Quay site. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food manufacturing, working with a wide range of high-quality fish products.

Payrate: £12.87 per hour
Shift: The hours of work for this role are 1pm-9pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, you will:

Support the safe, efficient production of food products, following all relevant procedures and standards

Carry out a variety of key production tasks, including feeding materials, packing into inner and outer cartons, box making, and palletising

Prepare and handle fresh and frozen fish and ingredients in line with product specifications

Perform line feeding, decanting, weighing, and mixing of ingredients

Complete polybag sealing, cartooning, lidding, collating, and packing (individual and catering packs)

Stack and palletise boxes, while maintaining the flow of ingredients and packaging on the line

Ensure equipment is functioning effectively and raise issues when necessary

Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and quality standards

Escalate concerns to the Advanced Operative to support achievement of the shift production plan
The Ideal Candidate

Aware of hygiene, quality, and safety requirements in food manufacturing

Flexible and open to a rotating shift pattern

Food Hygiene Level 2 is an advantage, but not essential – full training will be provided.
