We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging mathematics lessons to students across various age groups and abilities. Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive maths lessons tailored to the curriculum and individual student needs
- Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and observations
- Provide personalised tutoring and support to students requiring additional assistance in mathematics
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
- Incorporate scientific research and real-world applications, such as biochemistry or laboratory experiments, where appropriate
- Proofread and review teaching materials to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Mentor students in their academic development, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and curriculum content
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, including advanced topics where applicable
- Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching in formal or informal settings
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts to diverse learners
- Behaviour management skills to maintain an orderly classroom environment
- Ability to proofread educational materials for accuracy and coherence
- Experience working with students requiring special education support is essential
- Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively and track student progress
