Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within our care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of those in their care. The role involves working closely with care teams to deliver tailored care plans, fostering a respectful and supportive environment for clients.
The twilight shift is from 5pm to 11pm and offering the hours as 18hrs per week and a second post at 24hrs per week. This includes every other weekend.
Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- A caring attitude, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role
