Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Torquay, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Our Kiddi Caru Nursery in Torquay is one of the largest purpose-built settings in Torquay, offering a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment where children can thrive. Our experienced, long-standing team has carefully designed every aspect of the nursery to ensure each child is supported in a way that is unique to them. We are also proud to hold an Eco-Schools accreditation with merit, reflecting our commitment to teaching children about caring for the environment.
Fantastic Outdoor Space
Outdoors, our private garden spaces include a much-loved yurt, regularly used for activities such as yoga and Boogie Mites sessions, creating unique and enriching experiences.
Location
Located on the Willows Retail Park in Torquay, near Sainsbury’s and just five minutes from the A380, our nursery is easily accessible by both public and private transport. With on-site parking available and bus stops just a short walk away, we are conveniently situated for families travelling from Torquay and the surrounding areas.
What will you be doing:
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
- Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
- Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
- Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
- Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
