Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff/Waitresses to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively bar and restaurant environment. Previous experience in restaurant service is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards, ensuring presentation meets company guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces regularly
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and process payments promptly
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while recommending specials or new products to guests
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene at all times
- Provide excellent guest services by anticipating needs, answering questions about menu items, and resolving any issues promptly
- Support team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest service excellence will be highly valued
- Strong organisational skills including time management are essential to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues alike
