Tia’s is a brand new Mexican restaurant opening soon at The Gate in Newcastle city centre, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to join our opening team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new venue from day one. We’re searching for someone with strong leadership skills, great energy, and a passion for delivering outstanding drinks and customer experiences in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar
- Recruit, train and lead the bar team
- Create a fun, welcoming and high-energy atmosphere
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Manage stock control, ordering and wastage
- Ensure licensing, hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed
- Handle cashing up and daily reporting
- Work with management on drinks menus, promotions and launch events
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a bar management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cocktails, tequila, mezcal and premium spirits is a bonus
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
