Are you an experienced Care Home Manager with a proven track record of delivering exceptional care and driving occupancy within the self-funding market?
We're recruiting on behalf of an established care provider seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Care Home Manager to lead one of their homes in North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care.
This role would suit an experienced manager who understands the expectations of the self-funding market and has consistently demonstrated the ability to drive occupancy, build a strong local reputation, and deliver an exceptional resident and family experience.
The Role
As Care Home Manager, you'll take full operational responsibility for the home, leading your team to deliver outstanding resident outcomes whilst driving commercial performance and occupancy growth within the self-funding market. You'll be responsible for:
- Providing visible, inspirational leadership to a stable and committed team.
- Driving occupancy through effective marketing, community engagement, and strong relationships with families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
- Delivering an exceptional customer journey from enquiry through to admission.
- Maintaining the highest standards of care, governance and regulatory compliance.
- Managing budgets and ensuring strong commercial performance.
- Developing and retaining a high-performing team through effective coaching and leadership.
- Ensuring the home continues to provide an outstanding experience for residents and their families.
About You
You'll be an experienced Care Home Manager with:
- Previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home.
- A strong background within the self-funding elderly care market.
- A proven track record of driving and sustaining occupancy within a self-funding care home.
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to build referral networks and generate self-funded enquiries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it.
- A nursing qualification is not required for this role.
