Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to customers efficiently while also supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with warehouse tasks as needed. A valid driving licence and previous experience in delivery or warehouse environments are essential for this position. Fork Lift Experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver goods to various locations within the designated area
- Load and unload products, ensuring items are handled with care and stored securely
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation, inventory checks, and heavy lifting
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations during deliveries and warehouse activities
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving or courier services
- Valid driver licence (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries in a timely manner
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
Pay: £12.91 per hour
