The Stock Control Assistant will support operational, financial and compliance processes across the business. This role requires strong attention to detail, financial accuracy, organisational skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently. The successful candidate must be confident working with spreadsheets, internal systems, and multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and credits onto our accounting system, ensuring all products, quantities and prices are accurate.
- Maintaining mark-ups and updating RRPs in line with supplier requirements.
- Reviewing stock adjustments and stock take reports, investigating discrepancies and obtaining approvals where required.
- Creating new product listings (subject to approval) and managing pricing categories/discount structures.
- Checking order confirmations against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Escalating credit note, invoice and product queries when required.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments regarding queries and approvals.
- Other general office duties
The candidate will be able to
- Answer the telephone and take messages accurately
- Work in a team or on own initiative
Experience would be preferred but training can be given.
This is a fixed term role with an initial end date of June 2027 however may be extended.
The hours of work are 8:30am till 5pm, 5 days per week
