Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and practical Part-Time Maintenance Person to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who can carry out a range of maintenance tasks to ensure our premises and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-presented. The successful candidate will work a minimum of three days per week and participate in an on call rota every other weekend, providing telephone support and attending site when required to resolve maintenance issues and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Painting and decorating throughout the premises.
- General gardening and grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing.
- Basic plumbing repairs and installations, such as changing taps and vanity units.
- Basic electrical maintenance, including replacing damaged sockets and switches.
- Assisting with basic heating system checks and maintenance.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Responding to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in painting and decorating
- Gardening and grounds maintenance experience
- Basic Plumbing knowledge and practical skills
- Basic electrical knowledge and confidence carrying out minor repairs.
- Basic understanding of heating systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Flexible and dependable approach to work.
