Job Title: First Team Scout
Knowledge: the level and breadth of knowledge to do the job e.g. understanding of a defined system,
method or procedure, legal or regulatory frameworks etc
Essential
- Good knowledge of football with regards to game models, playing styles and player profiling
- Sound ability to evaluate performance and identify potential in individual players
- Good understanding of both Wolves and English football in general
- Basic knowledge of GBE rules and regulations
- Have a minimum of one season of experience of working within a similar role before.
- An understanding of Safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk and wellbeing
considerations.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures (including reporting platforms
and/or requirements).
- Wellbeing knowledge in relation to supporting children, young people and adults at risk
Technical/work-based skills: skills specific to the job e.g. language competence, typing skills, coaching skills
etc
Essential
- Able to communicate fluently in English – written and verbal
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office and Apple Software
- Experience using key industry software (WyScout, Hudl, Statsbomb, SkillCorner)
- A willingness to adapt to emerging technologies and using data insight to support the identification
and recruitment process
Desirable
General skills and attributes: more general characteristics e.g. flexibility, communication skills, team working

Understanding of how to work safely with children, young people and adults at risk to uphold
Safeguarding best practice.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, to be able to present information clearly as
well as challenge and question in a respectful manner

Ability and self-motivation to work remotely, yet still with a good team ethos
Organised, methodical and logical approach to work whilst displaying an ability to be self-sufficient
in both planning ahead and managing time
