Overview
We’re a growing company looking for a reliable Class 1 C+E driver to join our team.
This is predominantly a driving role, delivering steel to construction sites across the country using a fleet of our own vehicles ranging from 44t Class 1 articulated vehicles down to transit vans. Alongside the driving there will be some manual duties including yard duties, loading and palletising items for delivery. Some over night and weekend work will be required from time to time.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGVs, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with all legal and company regulations
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and report any issues promptly
- Secure loads appropriately, ensuring safe transportation of goods
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Assist with loading and unloading when required, adhering to health and safety standards
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
- Comply with all driving hours regulations and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid C+E (Class 1) driving licence with up-to-date CPC certification
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or similar role
- Experience handling flatbed loads is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of road safety legislation and best practices in driving
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanour on the road and in interactions with clients
Pay: £14.50-£17.00 per hour
