Scrap Burning Operative

We have a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated Scrap Burning Operative, here at Runtech, primarily based at our scrap site in Port Talbot, however, you will be required to travel to other Runtech/ client site locations to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing various scrap items while remaining safety focused with a passion for high standards and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
. Using Oxy Propane burning equipment
· Processing various scrap items including coil to meet clients specifications
· Other reasonable tasks to assist the team on site.

· Helping to maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures
· Demonstrating a positive and motivated attitude
. Ability to follow instructions and work independently
· Experience in a scrap processing environment, specifically with use of Oxy Propane burning equipment
· Adhering to Working Time Regulations
Essential Qualifications:
· Full UK Driving Licence
. Weldcare Certificate would be advantageous but not essential
Package:
· 40 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday.
·£15.75 per hour
· Overtime available as required by the needs of the business which could include weekends
· Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme.
· PPE Provided.
· Meal allowance, accommodation and travel covered for away work.
The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing.
