About the Role:
We're recruiting Female Bank Support Workers to join a small, dedicated care team supporting a bubbly 7-year-old girl in Tamworth. If you're outgoing, hands-on, and love bringing energy and fun into someone's day, this could be the role for you.
Pay:
- Weekday hourly rate: £15.50
- Weekend hourly rate: £17.00
- Waking night: matches whichever day rate applies
- Bank Holiday: £31.00

Shift Patterns:
We are recruiting for 2 Bank Support Workers to cover day shifts and waking night shifts :
Role 1: Waking Nights
- Weekday (term time): 11pm to 8.30am
- Weekend: 7pm to 7am
Role 2: Day Shifts
- Weekend: 7am to 7pm
- Weekday (term time): 3pm to 11pm
- Weekday (school holidays): 7am to 7pm

About Our Client:
Our client is a bright, happy 7-year-old girl with a big personality who loves music, sensory play, and being out and about, especially bowling. She has cerebral palsy with severely impaired motor function, epilepsy (well managed), global developmental delay, and use of one eye. She is non-verbal, communicating through sounds, gestures, and a basic switching device. She receives 2:1 care, 24 hours a day. She requires support with all aspects of personal care, feeding (medication, liquids and lunch administered via PEG, morning and evening meals are oral), and moving and handling using a hoist. You'll help enable her to be out in the community having fun, building her life skills, independence, and social skills, as well as supporting her with her MDT therapies to help her achieve her goals. The family also has a friendly Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy, so a love of dogs is a must!
Waking nights are generally calm, low-intervention shifts. Most nights involve settling her back to sleep after medication, then monitoring via camera until morning, with light household tasks.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing 2:1 support at home and in the community
- Administering medication
- Supporting sensory play, arts and crafts, and outings such as bowling
- Supporting with hoist use and moving and handling
- PEG feeding and supporting oral meals
- Providing full personal care
- Monitoring for seizure activity and responding appropriately
- Assisting with light household tasks including tidying, laundry, cooking and general upkeep of her living space (Performed by both day shifts and waking night shifts team members)
- Completing accurate and timely record keeping
- Working collaboratively with the existing team and family to maintain a consistent approach
- Waking night staff monitor the client via the in-room camera and monitor
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Female applicants only (required due to personal care needs)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, to be able to get to work
- Comfortable working in a busy, loving family home
- Comfortable working in an environment with a dog
- Willingness to learn
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Preferred:
- Experience working with children
- Previous care experience

Experience:
- Living in the UK: 5 years (required)
