Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

Salary 30,000-40,000 Pro-rata
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain group financial statements, VAT Returns and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero for efficient financial management.
- Mentor junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the finance team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices within the industry.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero is essential.
- 5+years experience of professional accounting experience in practices.
- Experience in Company Accounts filing with Companies House and HMRC, as well as accounts payable management is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively.
- Knowledge of financial management processes within a corporate environment is advantageous.
