Sunny Cloud ChildmindingLocation: Coventry (CV7 area)
I am looking for a reliable, caring and enthusiastic self-employed childminding assistant to join Sunny Cloud Childminding — a warm, nurturing, home-from-home childcare setting.
This opportunity is all year round, 2–3 days per week, between 8:00am – 5:00pm (days to be discussed).
I am looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young children aged 0–5 years
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Has a calm, kind and nurturing approach towards children
- Is warm, positive, patient and confident engaging with children through play, activities and daily routines
- Enjoys outdoor play, outings and supporting children to explore and learn
- Is proactive, trustworthy, reliable and organised
- Has good spoken and written English
- Can work well as part of a small childcare team in a home-from-home environment
- Has knowledge of the EYFS framework (desirable, but support and training can be provided)
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Holds a driving licence (desirable but not essential)
- Already has an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (desirable but not essential)
- Has the right to work in the UK
- Is able to provide suitable references
The assistant role may include:
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play
- Helping with daily routines and age-appropriate activities
- Supervising indoor and outdoor play
- Supporting children during mealtimes
- Helping with nappy changes/toileting
- Maintaining a safe, clean and caring environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS requirements
The right person will start on a self-employed basis. There may be an opportunity to move into an employed position in the future as the childcare setting grows.
Before starting, the successful applicant will need to arrange/have the following in place:
- Childminding suitability checks through my childminding agency – £50 applicant fee (includes reference checks and local authority checks)
- Enhanced DBS check
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
I will provide and pay for:
- Safeguarding training
- Food Hygiene training
- Any additional courses/training needed to support the role and professional development
