As a Battery Production Manager, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality battery production. Leading large operational teams and driving continuous improvement, you'll help create the foundations for future vehicle programmes while making a lasting impact on people, performance and product excellence.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a highly visible leadership role within our battery manufacturing operations. You'll be responsible for driving operational performance across multiple production areas, developing high-performing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment objectives.
Here's what to expect:
- Leading battery manufacturing operations across key production areas, including frame welding, energy management module assembly, battery stack assembly and battery pack assembly
- Developing, coaching and supporting large production teams, creating a culture where people can grow, contribute and maximise their full potential
- Driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities that improve yield, throughput and efficiency
- Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, supply chain and quality teams to introduce new equipment, automation and process improvements
- Monitoring operational performance, quality measures and production KPIs while implementing actions that deliver sustainable business improvement
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Leading large, multi-shift manufacturing teams and delivering output, quality and cost targets within a high-volume production environment
- Applying lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques to improve operational performance
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of quality systems, defect reduction strategies, yield improvement and overall equipment effectiveness
- Interpreting production data, operational KPIs and manufacturing dashboards to support effective decision-making and performance improvement
- Collaborating effectively across engineering, maintenance, supply chain and quality functions while leading change within complex manufacturing operations
