This role is in a busy machine shop receiving timber components and working on them using machinery such as: moulders, rip saw, x-cut, cube, mitre, frame lines, and sander.
You will prep the components for, and aid the manufacture of Fire Doors/Door sets.
We supply to schools, hospitals, and hotels throughout the country. This is a 'life saving' product and MUST be right/fit for purpose! Our safety training will be conducted by a Hanson & Beards Ltd training coordinator and/or an external source.
Essential requirements-
- Previous experience with the above listed machinery
- Stringent high regard for health & safety stipulations
- Mechanically minded
- Practical and hands on
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Receptive and compliant with instruction
- Knowledge of safe working systems when using machinery (demonstrable)
- Thorough knowledge of start-up, calibration, and aftercare of the work centres
- Pride and care in workmanship
- Previous work with timber products
- Previous use & accurate interpretation of: technical drawings, standard operating procedures, and works orders paperwork
Hours- 36.75 per week (Mon-Wed 7-17.00, Thurs 7-16.45)
*Overtime available as business needs dictate.
Holidays- 17 days per annum (increases with service). Bank holidays in addition to this (which fall Mon-Thurs). Free on site parking, birthday off work (paid), & employee assistance programme with virtual GP access.
