About the role
We’re looking for a warm, capable, hands-on team member to join our busy Atlas House office/workshop team. You’ll split your time between customer service and operations/fulfilment.
We run Little Crafters Boxes and LCB Education side-by-side internally, so you’ll support both brands interchangeably (craft orders, workbooks, certificates and customer queries).
This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, but the work is busy — it suits someone who enjoys staying productive, switching between tasks, and taking pride in accuracy and presentation.
What you’ll be doing
Customer service and office based tasks (approx. 50%)
- Respond to customer emails promptly, clearly and kindly
- Handle customer phone calls when needed and resolve issues calmly
- Support order queries, delivery issues, product questions and certificate queries
- Process and update orders accurately, including adding clear internal notes and following special instructions
- Flag recurring issues and suggest simple improvements
Operations, QA, packing & dispatch (approx. 50%)
- Wrap, pack and prepare parcels daily to a high presentation standard
- Carry out second checks on instructions and order contents (right items, right add-ons, right paperwork)
- Support quality assurance tasks to maintain consistent standards
- Use Royal Mail systems to process postage and dispatch accurately
- Prepare and post certificates
- Print, collate and package maths workbooks and learning materials
- Support general office/admin tasks as needed
What we’re looking for
Essential
Confident, friendly communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail (accuracy, presentation, instructions, order notes)
- Able to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Organised, reliable and proactive — you notice what needs doing and get on with it
- Comfortable using digital tools day-to-day (email, printing, basic systems)
- Able to work on-site at Atlas House
Desirable (nice to have)
- Customer service experience (e-commerce, education services, subscriptions or similar)
- Packing/dispatch/fulfilment experience with a customer-first mindset
- Familiarity with Royal Mail shipping tools/systems
- Canva skills (catalogues, flyers, simple promo materials)
- Basic video editing/content creation skills
- Holiday and benefits
- 28 days holiday (pro rata), including bank holidays
- 50% staff discount on products and services
Checks and references
- Basic DBS check required (to be completed/provided after offer, before start)
- References required prior to employment

Please apply with your CV and a covering letter telling us:
1) Why this role suits you (customer service + hands-on operations)
2) Your availability (days/times) for a 20-hour week
3) Any digital skills you’d love to bring (e.g., Canva, video editing) — totally optional
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Employee discount
- Free parking
- Private medical insurance
Work Location: In person
