Our Homelessness Services works to break the cycle of homelessness through a range of tailored support to individuals and families - through Lifehouses, NAP pads, Housing First, practical support to rough sleepers, floating support and outreach services, and addiction services.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. To address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. To work as part of a team to achieve contractual and quality outcomes.
In addition, you will;

Be required to conduct regular client support plan reviews, completing and updating individual support plans; within contractual timeframes and work with clients to achieve their identified goals in accordance with The Salvation Army policy, including client benefits being maximised and personal payments are made as part of a budget plan.

Work with colleagues to design and deliver a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Complete and review client’s assessments including risk assessments, within contractual timeframes, using a person-centred and trauma sensitive approach.

Have knowledge of the benefits system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams.
