People Services Advisor
We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to those with advanced life-limiting illnesses, who live in North West Surrey. We care for patients and provide support to families and carers in the community as well as in our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre at the Hospice.

Role Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional support and guidance related to employee experience and people management. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, assisting with a wide range of people services including policy interpretation, employee relations, and HR administration. This position requires a collaborative and approachable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to contributing positively to organisational success through effective people support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, timely, and accurate advice and support on people-related enquiries to employees and management.
- Assist in managing employee relations matters, helping to resolve issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support the implementation and communication of people policies, procedures, and programs.
- Collaborate with HR partners and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of people services.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall employee experience.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and correspondence related to people services activities.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees.
- Promote an inclusive and positive workplace environment by responding to diverse needs and providing equitable service.
Required Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a broad range of individuals at all organisational levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HR principles, people management practices, or related areas.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in using HR information systems and standard office software.
- A solution-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience supporting employee relations or people advisory functions.
- Understanding of employment law and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles applied in people services.
- Previous work in fast-paced or complex organisational environments.
- Skills in report writing and delivering presentations or training sessions.
