Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee/Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career within a professional dental environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising equipment and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories
- Support patients throughout their visit, addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Manage appointment scheduling, liaising with patients via phone or in person to confirm or reschedule appointments
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including infection control protocols
Experience
- No prior experience is required but having a background in health care can be helpful.
- All training will be provided in-house alongside the formal college course.
- Minimium GCSE Grade 4 required in English and Maths. However, Functional Skills equivalent will be considered and supported.
- You will be appointed a mentor in practice to help and support you.
- The job requires high levels of professionalism as we are dealing with the public.

The practice supports career development with some of our nurses going on to become dental hygienists, therapists and also a dentist!
We are experienced in training dental nurses and supporting them.

Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
