- Quality control: Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet Daniel James Group’s exacting standards before they leave the workshop.
Oversee material ordering, stock control, and equipment maintenance.
Bench Joinery:
- Hands-on manufacturing of bespoke joinery items for high-end residential and commercial projects (e.g., custom cabinetry, architectural woodwork, wall panelling, doors, and reception desks).
- Interpret complex technical drawings and CAD designs accurately.
- Operate a variety of standard workshop machinery and hand tools safely and proficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Bench Joiner, ideally with a strong background in high-end residential and/or commercial projects.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or Workshop Manager role is essential.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret detailed CAD drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team and manage production timelines.
- High attention to detail and a passion for premium craftsmanship.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a woodworking workshop environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Joinery / Carpentry (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are preferred.

- The opportunity to work on prestigious, high-end architectural and interior projects.
- A supportive, collaborative working environment within a growing company based in Manchester.
