Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cliner to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing various fabric and textile products within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills in fabric fabrication, assembly, and warehouse operations within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to repair, assemble, and fabricate fabric-based products.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment utilised in fabric handling and assembly processes.
- Perform sewing tasks as required to repair or modify textiles or fabric components.
- Assist with the fabrication of new products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving materials or finished products within the warehouse or production area.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Support warehouse operations by organising stock, preparing materials for production, and assisting with inventory management.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical work, fabrication, or assembly roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with sewing techniques and fabric repair is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment or with heavy lifting tasks is desirable.
- Prior use of hand tools and power tools in a professional setting is highly beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting (up to 25kg) and standing for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and quality standards is essential for success in this role.
