Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join our aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing swimmers of various ages and skill levels, promoting safety, and fostering a positive environment for learning and development. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and ability levels
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and supervising activities at all times
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their technique and confidence
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each swimmer’s development
- Organise specialised training sessions or workshops as required
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth programme operations and uphold safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly within swimming or aquatic environments
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with learners of all ages
- Knowledge of water safety procedures and first aid certification is desirable
- Organised, patient, and able to motivate individuals to reach their full potential
- Ability to adapt coaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs
- Enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for promoting health, fitness, and aquatic activities
Pay: £15.00-£22.50 per hour
