About the Role
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring roll form machines and press brakes to produce components to customer specifications. You will work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality standards, minimizing waste and achieving production targets.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
· Operate roll form lines and press brakes safely and efficiently.
· Set up tooling and equipment in accordance with work instructions.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and production paperwork.
· Perform quality checks using measuring equipment and record results accurately.
· Ensure products meet customer specifications, quantity and quality requirements.
· Identify and report machine faults, tooling issues and quality concerns.
· Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance activities.
· Handle, move and store materials safely using approved methods and equipment.
· Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area.
· Work in accordance with all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
· 2-3 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment
· Ideally, but not essential, experience of roll form machines and/or press brakes.
· Ability to interpret working instructions and drawings.
· CAD experience beneficial.
· Understanding of manufacturing tolerances and quality standards.
· Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to use measuring equipment accurately.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
· Counterbalance and Combi lift experience preferable.
· Flexibility to working hours and overtime if required.
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
