We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Enorth Resourcing. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying process for groundworks projects, from initial tender to final accounts.
- Conduct thorough investigations of project sites and provide feasibility studies, cost estimates, and budget plans.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely project completion.
- Prepare and review contract documents, including variations, valuations, and claims.
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular cost forecasts, updates, and reports.
- Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best prices and terms.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met and any issues are resolved.
- Manage and mentor junior quantity surveyors, providing support and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in quantity surveying for groundworks and civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, costs, and materials.
- Experience in contract negotiations, procurement, budgeting, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
- Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certification, such as MRICS, is preferred.
