Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated drama and singing teacher and class assistants to inspire and educate children and young people at Little Voices Preston. With venues across Preston, Leyland and Chorley, the successful candidate will develop engaging lesson plans, foster creativity, and support our pupils in building confidence, performance skills and valuable life skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, nurturing young people and promoting a love for the performing arts. The position is suitable for individuals with a background in education and a love for drama and music.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to various age groups and needs from 4-18 years old.
- Manage behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring inclusive teaching practices are upheld.
- Develop customised lesson plans that align with our high curriculum standards while fostering individual student growth.
- Provide positive feedback to pupils to help improve their performance skills and confidence.
- Organise performances or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their talents publicly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to monitor student progress and address any behavioural or learning challenges.
- Maintain organised records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring children, preferably within an education setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies suitable for both younger children and young adults.
- Be organised, reliable, fun and able to work as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills and able to work to deadlines.
- Have the ability to interact with parents professionally.

Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
