Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using Tautliner & Fridges across various routes in the UK & Europe. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly in commercial driving environments. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery driver experience and a solid understanding of road regulations related to heavy goods vehicle operation. Responsibilities
- Operate HGV'S in compliance with all road safety and transportation regulations
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries across designated locations
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring securement of goods during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during trips
- Adhere to all legal requirements for commercial driving and transport operations
- Assist with loading or unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Requirements
- Valid HGV license ( Class 1 )
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably with flatbed vehicles
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy goods vehicle operation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Good organizational skills to plan routes and manage delivery schedules effectively
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Flexibility to work on various shifts as required by operational demands
