Job Overview
We are seeking Handy men and women for snagging works on finished properties. This role requires a strong understanding of snagging on works, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience to contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects.
Duties
- Painting & Decorating: Touching up scuffs, mist-coating walls, painting ceilings, and making good on any damaged plaster or drywall.
- Carpentry & Joinery: Easing sticking doors, repairing or replacing skirting boards, adjusting cabinet hinges, and fixing architraves.
- Mastic & Sealant: Applying silicone and mastic sealants around baths, sinks, worktops, and window frames to ensure watertight finishes.
- Minor Plumbing: Fixing minor leaks, securing loose taps, and ensuring toilets/radiators are functioning perfectly.
- Defect Rectification: Following a formalized snagging list to systematically resolve faults.
- Client Handover: Performing final quality control checks to ensure properties are clean, safe, and ready for occupation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Valid CSCS or equivalent certification is essential
