Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations. Experience with multi-drop driving is preferred, as well as a background in commercial driving. experience driving in central london is an advantage as this is where most deliveries will take place .
Responsibilities
- Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence.
- valid cpc & tacho
- must be older than 25
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent driving skills
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
