Summary
The Governors of Briercliffe Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.
Briercliffe is a happy and busy Community Primary School currently catering for over 385 children between the ages of four and eleven years.
We are looking for someone who:
- will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high quality learning experiences for the children, including children with additional needs
- is organised
- is a team player
- has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- has high standards of English and Maths
- is able to offer intervention sessions
- will engage with professional development opportunities, training sessions and CPD
- is highly motivated, flexible, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
- is willing to work as a Welfare Assistant over the lunch hour

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
