Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team, including washing vegetables and peeling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Ensure all work areas are sanitized and organized according to health and safety standards
- Support with waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen tidy
- Restock supplies such as cutlery, crockery, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth operations
- Help with moving inventory and cleaning storage areas regularly for safety and efficiency
- Follow all hygiene regulations diligently to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen environment
- Help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and general sanitation to keep the kitchen environment safe and organized.
- Follow proper food safety protocols and hygiene procedures during all tasks to prevent contamination.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with basic food handling, cleaning procedures, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in food preparation or culinary environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
