We are seeking a skilled HGV trailer fitter to join our team in Gt Eccleston. This role is vital to ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair trailers and associated equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with drivers and management to schedule repairs with minimal disruption.
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new trailer components when required.
- Keep the workshop clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HGV trailer fitter or similar role within the transport industry.
- Strong knowledge of trailer mechanics, including flatbeds and related equipment.
- Valid driving license with experience in commercial driving.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults accurately
