Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable 11+ Tutor to join our team. This role involves safely picking up two children from school to their homes and delivering engaging, effective tutoring sessions focused on preparing students for the 11+ exams. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organised, and passionate about supporting children's educational journeys.
Availability: Tuesday - Thursday from 3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Safely pick up children from designated schools at scheduled times and transport them to their homes or designated locations
- Provide engaging 11+ exam preparation tutoring, focusing on subjects such as English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each child's learning needs and exam goals
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding progress, attendance, and any concerns
- Support children with homework assistance and reinforce learning concepts in a positive manner
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during transportation and tutoring sessions
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson plans for each student
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children or in exam preparation settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with children of varying ages and learning abilities, including those requiring special education support
- Ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, lesson plans, and student progress
- Valid driving license with a clean record for safe transportation duties
- Passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals
Pay: From £35.00 per hour
