About the Role
KMC Insurance UK is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to evaluate risks, assess applications, and support sound underwriting decisions. The successful candidate will balance analytical judgment with commercial awareness while maintaining strong compliance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review insurance applications and supporting documentation.
- Assess risks using established underwriting criteria.
- Determine appropriate coverage, terms, and conditions.
- Analyze financial and risk information.
- Monitor existing policies and reassess risks when required.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation.
- Collaborate with brokers, clients, claims teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure underwriting decisions comply with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Insurance, or a related field.
- Professional experience in insurance underwriting or risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good understanding of insurance principles and risk management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
