Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter / Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while providing memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials or additional items to enhance their experience.
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset efficiently for new guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders.
- Support in setting up dining areas before service and assisting with closing procedures afterwards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving procedures.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a friendly demeanour.
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and sales opportunities.
- Culinary or restaurant experience is desirable but not mandatory; a passion for hospitality is essential.
- Must be able to work efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating professionalism under pressure.
Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
