Looking for a Role That Truly Matters? Open your home. Change a child's future.
If you're ready for a new challenge and want a role with real purpose, fostering could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
At Greater London Fostering, we're looking for compassionate, resilient individuals and families to provide safe, loving homes for babies, young children, teenagers, and sibling groups who can't live with their families right now.
No formal qualifications are needed. If you have patience, empathy, and the commitment to help a child thrive, we'll provide everything else you need.
Why Become a Foster Carer?
Fostering is more than a career – it's a chance to transform a child's life.
By offering stability, care, and encouragement, you'll help children feel safe, build their confidence, and create brighter futures. Every child is different, making every day rewarding, meaningful, and unique.
As a Foster Carer, You Will:
- Provide a safe, stable, and nurturing home.
- Support a child emotionally and help them feel valued and secure.
- Work alongside social workers, health professionals, and birth families to achieve the best outcomes for the child.
- Help children develop confidence, trust, and a sense of belonging.
What You'll Receive:
24/7 support from our 'Outstanding' rated fostering service
Our experienced team is always on hand to provide practical, emotional, and financial support whenever you need it.
Comprehensive training and ongoing development
From your first enquiry through every stage of your fostering journey, we'll equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed.
A welcoming fostering community
Join a network of carers who understand the rewards and challenges of fostering and are there to support one another every step of the way.
What You'll Need:
- To be aged 21 or over.
- A safe, stable, and caring home.
- A spare bedroom. (Each year we are also able to approve a number of carers who can care for babies and toddlers in their own bedroom, meaning a spare room isn't always required.)
- Patience, resilience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- The ability to nurture, encourage, and advocate for a child.
