Join our small team as a Hospital Advocate, advocating for, and with, patients in hospital about their future care and lifestyle when they leave hospital. You will ensure the patient’s views and wishes drive the next stage of their life.

The salary is a range of £25-28k based on experienceandknowledge.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate, listening to the patient’s issues and wishes, doing all you can to help the patient resolve the problems and obtain a discharge when well.
- Always represent the patients wishes and needs in clear concise language.
- Liaise with medical and hospital professionals on behalf of patients ensuring their concerns and needs are effectively communicated and addressed.
- communicate when necessary with families of patients, remembering that you are the patient’s advocate, not the family’.
- record all interactions, visits and meetings on behalf of the patient, adding these to charity systems frequently.
- inform patients about their rights within the hospital environment and empower them to participate actively in their care.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a health, social care or advocacy environment, ideally with vulnerable people, would be an advantage. If you have t worked here, please apply anywa..
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen empathetically and communicate effectively across diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and discretion.
